Thoughts are formed based upon what we've been taught to think, in many cases.

It seems like we'd be a sponge soaking up info until we're able to verbalize our thoughts...then we learn the language that we're expected to express our thoughts in.

Then we're taught there's a right way and a wrong way to use those expressive languages...instilling a fear of not wanting to be wrong.

Then it gets even more complicated as we pile on all the other belief systems and such that we're conditioned to think certain ways about...and it can go in any direction from that point on.

Internalizing speech? Part of

Mctavish recommended a good author awhile back to me for internalizing speech to thought and how it's used in self regulation
