Re: Shutting off/slowing down the mind

Does he have a clock in his room so he knows what time it is? Would he be able to stay in his bed if he knew that it was 5:30am and wakeup/leave room time if say 7am?

Re: Shutting off/slowing down the mind

Yes, he can tell time and he does have a clock in his room. We've tried the dont leave your room until its light outside or until "this number is 7." But, it hasnt really worked in the past. We can certainly try it again, though. I struggle with him getting enough sleep (coming to our room) and not getting enough asleep (staying in his own room). I dont trust him to go back to sleep. But, maybe he would surprise us and perhaps this is the habit that has formed in him. We are also at an anxiety stage - he is scared of everything! Wont go to upstairs by himself, wont go into a dark room by himself... We push him to do these things, but that excuse is always present these day. it's always something!
