At home education help!

Dear Parents,

I want to first start off by saying that as an adult with Tourette's, I thought this could be useful information for everyone. I'm currently 29 and have been living with Tourette's for quite a while now. Fortunately, I have a group of kind and supportive people in my life that drive me to never give up. I finished my bachelor's degree a couple of years ago and plan on returning to school again this summer.

As many of you are aware, school can be a nightmare for anyone with Tourette's, myself included. However, I stumbled upon a website while searching the internet for a source of online math tutoring in preparation for my return to school. The website is http://www.khanacademy.org (Khan Academy). It's absolutely free and covers all the basic sciences (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, mathematics (Algebra to Calculus), and some humanities (American Government, etc.).

Khan Academy is amazing! It motivates me to learn, even as an adult, and is something you can do in the privacy of your own home. I strongly suggest to anyone that; cannot keep their child in school, homeschools, or has been debating homeschooling, to check this website out. I felt like this information could really make a difference for some people, as an education is something everyone has the right to earn. I know it can be hard at times, but every little bit helps!

-D
