Do you look like a different person in every picture?

I rarely look like the same person in every picture. When I see pictures of non-ADD friends they seem to look like who they are in each picture. With my ADD friends there is always that... "Is that really you?". Maybe I will share my "theory" on the Mona Lisa with you all

OK seriously...i totally agree with you, i look very different from one pictures to the next... ANd it seems also that the darn person taking a pic, takes so long to take one, that i have time to move, or something...

Jeez dont they know 20 secs is long to not move and to say cheese for an ADHD

Just imagine how long it took Mona Lisa to sit there with DaVinci painting her picture

1. Da Vinci is an ADDer (oh yeah, when we do stuff that people like, we are renaissance men/women. When we do things that only interest us, we are dillittantes... When we do stuff that ****es people off, we are revolutionaries!)

2. ADDers connect well with other ADDers (everyone else seems so boring!)

3. ADDers have enigmatic and funny looks on their faces most of the time.

4. Ergo... Mona Lisa is an ADDer

QED! 500 Years of conjecture put to rest

Digitl,
Thanks for a good laugh! Didn't even get to the reading part, just started cracking up as I scrolled down. Excellent.

Most picture's of me I'm either recovering from birthing a child or have had an all nighter with a sick kid...which hardly represents who I am as a person...dude I looked stoned lol.

I have been told by my husband that in a lot of our family pictures I look "nicer"as in not so grouchy lmbo.

I truly can't say that I look "different" in every picture...I think I'm fairly typical in thinking...ick, that's me?

BUT, from my perspective of pictures over the years I don't recognize them as "me". I don't know if that makes sense or not, but it's not only an "ick" but more of..."who is that?"

Post separation and divorce four years ago, I noticed something peculiar about myself. (those of you who know me can just bite your tongues on your smart comments right about now :P ) I had put on a lot of weight during the marriage, cut my hair somewhat short, and didn't smile much. I noticed this in pictures most of all. Then I started laughing more, getting out, I lost a lot of weight, my hair grew out...and here's the peculiar part: pictures of me suddenly started looking like the me I used to see in old college photographs. It was as if ten years were rewinding themselves. I've never really given much thought as to how much my adhd played into this. I know that pre diagnosis, my smile never really reached my eyes. I also can honestly say that post diagnosis, and post divorce, the smile does reach my eyes now in pictures (okay most days).

I do get that too. Something youthful in my appearance... maybe that I never really "grew up" My pictures are very different. The young ones look like me more than the older ones... go figure!
