Brand name adderall?

It seems like I've been getting bad batches of adderall lately, so I asked my Dr. to prescribe me the brand name instead of the generic in case that was the problem -I have almost more side effects than therapeutic effect with the cors. The problem is I called 6 or 7 pharmacies today and none of them carry it. What's the deal? Where can I find brand name adderall in Chicago? I might even be willing to try a different generic- I don't think I've ever even taken the brand name adderall I think I was taking the barr generic based on the pictures in this forum.

There's an Adderall Shortage going around, thats why no pharmacies have Adderall.

If you are talking about Adderall IR then I am pretty sure that brand name Adderall is/was manufactured by Barr/Teva after the generic version became available, and they also make generic adderall. I have never tried brand IR, and since it is made by the same company that makes a generic version, I wonder if there would be any difference. I do not think Shire manufactures it anymore.

As far as Adderall XR, I have only used Shire, and my insurance considered it as generic as far as the copay. It said "Adderall XR" on the capsules, but I think there are some "Ampheta salts" capsules available as well.
