How can we have AD(H)D at birth?

How can we have AD(H)D at birth, when self regulation normally also develops after birth?

(I am not denying possible genetic predispositions, that may be present before birth)

If we know distresses can make things worse.

I am wondering, if emotional distresses are reduced after birth, can severity of AD(H)D be lessened during early development after birth?

I would think that an infant born with adhd would experience difficulty in
developing self-control and ability to direct attention.

I agree.

We experience difficulties developing.

If we reduce difficulties developing, can we promote development?

Reducing typical difficulties with development, you mention, would definitely help promote development imo, just by definition.

Yes, I believe that helps.

Early Intervention is a thing for little ones with suspected autism.

I've been saying we need Early Intervention for little ones with suspected
adhd for as long as I've been a member here.

That would involve educating parents so they don't blame their little ones
for being "weird" and learn best how to help the little ones develop.
