Stimulants for sleep?

I currently have been taking vyvanse 70mg and strattera 120mg for the past 3 years. This combination works well, while everything else I've tried had been a complete failure. Overall my sleep is better, but I still have ruts where I can't sleep. What I discovered was that if I couldn't sleep, or slept very poorly was that if I took the vyvanse in the morning I could sleep remarkably well for a couple of hours starting at around 30min to an hour after taking the 70mg dose. It's truly remarkable how everytime I've done this, bare none, I've had vivid dreams and wake up remarkably refreshed 2-3 hours after I've taken the dose. It doesn't make sense that I could feel more rested than nights I thought I slept for 8 hours. My wife says she can tell by my breathing that I'm sleeping deeply and she finds she can actually tolerate me. I've asked two doctors if they can prescribe 60mg during the day and 10 mg's at night but they say the insurance company will not pay for two scripts. I get that its a stimulant and will prevent sleep for some, but it's not the case for me until the medication ramps itself up enough to wake me up. The times I've given are a generalization, but I'm guessing its pretty close. The doctors can write for an extra 10mg dose and have done so twice now, but the insurance company wants me to pay full price for the 10mg's. My wife is currently fighting with the insurance company and she's getting the run around like I did. I'm actually tired of fighting the medical system, which I know a great deal about, but I'm not going down that road as I seem to lose my entire audience and they don't have ADHD. I was just curious how many with ADHD find low dose helps them, and if anyone was successful getting an insurance company to pay for the second dose?
