Baicalin, Scutellaria baicalensis(Chinese Skullcap)

Have ever heard about this plant?
I've found an article: https://molecularbrain.biomedcentral...041-019-0428-5
According to research baicalin significantly increased dopamine level in striatum.

Iíve heard of it and have done some reading about it. It sounded promising but Iíve never tried it. It seems to get very little mention now compared to several years ago. It also goes by the name Oroxylin A.

I found the original abstract that I read about it.

Did you see how much weight the rats gained in your link? In 4 weeks all of their body weights more than doubled. They also showed a big decrease in movement. That sounds troublesome.

Give me a couch and a ton of junk food and I can probably do the same thing.

I havenít heard of it causing weight gain in humans. Hopefully, someone has tried it and will chime in. Itís been used centuries for treating an array of ailments.

Re: Baicalin, Scutellaria baicalensis(Chinese Skullcap)

Yeah, i realized weight gain. I looked up customer reviews at amazon and reddit but i did not see any complaint about weight gain. It is recommended 500-1000 mg (about 10-15 mg/kg) daily for people. But in research i had linked it was given 100-150mg/kg. I mean maybe it is just a matter of dosage.
