Opinions on sleep study

So about 3 years ago I had a sleep study done. All I heard about it at first was that it was normal. When I asked about it a few months later I was told it was 'abnormal' and my blood oxygen level dropped but not enough to warrant the machine.

My new neuro wants me to have another one done. I went to him with complaints of blepharospasms and he didn't really tell me why he wanted me to get it done but that he wanted me to have another one. Blood tests and EEG came back normal. CAT scan with and without contrast was fine. I've had *all* the blood tests done. All normal.

So it's been 3 years. My Fitbit tells me I move around a bit but not like waking up waking up. And it will cost me a grand. So I'm really not sure if I should have this done. I mean I function alright now. I was suuuper tired during the day but the Adderall (mostly) took care of that. Maybe he sees it as a form of stress that I don't sleep well?

What would you guys do in this situation?

Re: Opinions on sleep study

Depends. Is it covered by insurance. Did you talk to a sleep specialist?
