Generic Adderall IR being reformulated???

I recently posted in the General Medication Discussions Forum about the possibility of a Xanax detox giving me strange new symptoms from generic Adderall. Specifically, nausea and light headedness. As well as not lasting long at all.

I’m not trying to freak everyone out here, but...

I saw my Pdoc today. I told him I burned through my Adderall Rx in 2 weeks. I proceeded to tell him the Teva Adderall seemed smaller and more compact. He informed me that they have been ‘reformulated’ so it can’t be crushed up and snorted, and he’s heard from a lot of his patients that they don’t work. He asked me if I went to the CVS around the corner from his office, which I did. Apparently all the patients complaining about them went to this location.

I’ve spent about an hour searching the internet to confirm this and found NOTHING. Has anyone heard about this or noticed their Adderall scrip being weird?

My Corepharma tabs are smaller than by Barr tabs but they are harder to split--in that they crumble. The Barr tabs don't crumble when I split them.

When Teva acquired Barr, they DID change the formula for Adderall IR, sometime in 2009, I *think*. However, it wasn't to make it less abusable and they allegedly switched back to the original formula.

I had more infomration/articles about this topic on my computer, but I had to get a new computer and no longer have any info.

I just got some Barr I've had the same script and dose for going on the 3rd month.

I have 20mg IR Barr tablets they look the same maybe a little darker orange and are hard as rocks to split the past 2 months they have been soft and really sugary.

experienced the same thing!! tore the web apart tryign to figure it out, called my pharmacy and told my dr. who were both simply incredibly unhelpful and seemed to think i was being paranoid or no longer responding to it;

i had a sorta 'drug vacation' due to prescription issues traveling, until around september, and for 2 weeks they simply did not work AT ALL. i also noticed that the texture and even color was different but considered myself that perhaps i was being paranoid

what helps a little is breaking them as much as possible (they ARE harder) and/or trying to suck them instad of simply swallowing.
