Lithium or Anti-epileptics ? For Bipolar II

Currently i have started using depakine(sodium valporate)

But i wonder, should i switch to lithium in long term?

I stopped suddenly using my ADHD medication , now i started making plans

If i start using concerta again(maybe next month) , would it trigger another hypomanic or manic episode?

If there is risk of it, can lithium reduce this risk when it is compared to anti-epileptics?

I read that lithium is first line treatment for manic episode in Bipolar I

my problem is , i am diagnosed with Bipolar II

There is no such thing as full blown mania/manic attack in Bipolar II but i am not sure that it is Bipolar II, maybe i have Bipolar I (Just not experienced a manic attack yet who knows?)

Not experiencing manic attack doesnt mean that i won't have it in the future, so i want to take my steps in a safe way, don't want to take any risk

So i don't know what to do, i will visit my doctor 2 weeks later.
