Why have I outgrown working memory issues?

I used to forget stuff all the time in school. No longer. Hmm?

Barkley claims that ADHD people develop the six primary executive functions later in life than non-ADHD people...some of them not at all. I know when I read his book, I realized I had finally developed #3 and #4, but not yet #5 or #6. But that in my 20s, I had barely developed #2.
