Our ISP has been messed up for several days. I hope I can get online tomorrow.

Just read the news. Shocking. Another fixture that I thought was permanent is gone.

DO you see what time it is?? I was supposed to be up an hour and 15 minutes ago. I feel late and I hate it.

I'd say something snarky and make fun of you about how early it is...but I know that this is important to you, so I'll keep my mouth shut and **** off.

Hope the rest of the day runs smoother for you!

There should have been a penalty shot for Chelsea
wtf, wake up refs
so now it's 3-0 for Barecelona, now virtually qualified for the quarterfinals

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part IV

My parents aren't well at all. Right now I really wish I lived closer to them so I could help them out. I feel guilty for not hopping onto the next flight but it doesn't seem that bad yet. How could I leave fuzzling? I don't know. Maybe I'm just a crap daughter. I wish I could be there for them. I could have tried to find an all night pharmacy for my mum to get her more painkillers. I wish I'd done more when I still lived with them. How I miss those days...

Timing makes a real difference and it's not really anything we can control or
choose.

When my mom got pneumonia she was brought to the hospital about half an
hour from where I lived, even closer to my sister and my niece. The three of
us were at a time where we could spend every night with her while my dad
went to the motorhome to sleep. I still managed to find a few things to feel
guilty about.

Six years later when my sister was dying of cancer and needed help with trips
to chemo, and then had hospice in her home, I was also needed at my home
to help with my granddaughter who has autism. I felt like I was being torn in
half. In the end I felt my daughter needed me more at home, my sister had
help from her wonderful friends from work (small salon, very close friends).
My daughter and I had moved to another town following her divorce and had
few friends here, and they all worked.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part IV

Wow, it took me several days to sort out my thoughts and figure out how
to word my message to Gambino's Pizza's local shop. Got it sent to their
facebook page and am hoping to hear something positive back from them. Here's what I wrote:

I love your pizza, in fact I'm addicted to the German pie. Unfortunately I can't
eat in your restaurant because I'm so allergic to scented air freshener. Many
people get asthma or migraines from scented air freshener or perfume . . .
I actually have a neurological reaction with my blood pressure bottoming out
and then rebounding up to stroke level.

Last week I ordered take out and added some bottled soda without thinking
about the pop cooler being up front next to the air freshener. I quickly poured
the cola into another cup and wrapped the stanky bottle in a plastic bag.

I would love to be able to enjoy your lunch buffet, and thought you might be
interested in knowing how something you do may be affecting other customers.
I just wanna smell the pizza ... yum. sincerely, Sherry

WOW! I didn't expect such a quick response, I had time to edit my post and
add the response.

Here's the response:

Quote:
Thanks for the insight. When my cotract runs out I will be discontinueing the freshner on the 2 liter fridge

Yay! Great job gramma!!

Except...well...I'm not sure how to take the response they left you . Is it a good one? Like is their contract ending soon? Or...are they being snarky and jerks? Like maybe their contract doesn't end for another 10 years and they're just blowing you off?

They're response doesn't provide enough info to know one way or another.

(((Gramma Luns)))

Maybe you can thank them VERY much for getting back to you so soon, but ask for further information?

Your letter to them is perfect. A perfect example of how to complain intelligently, kindly and without antagonising anyone (something I'm very bad at).

I hope more people will add their voices si the manager is motivated to get rid of the air freshener sooner.

I'm not sure I understand the reply. Is he talking about the fridge maintenance contract?.does it have an inbuilt air freshener? Is the air freshener some sort of stand alone device that he's got a contract for?

AHH...basically what psycho said.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part IV

I'm in a terrible mood. Fuzzling slept well but got up too early (maybe because she slept so well?). Anyway she was still tired I guess so really cranky and uncooperative. Getting her ready for nursery wasn't fun.

There's again lots of confusion with the nursery fees. All the invoices they send me are wrong (though I can't really blame them because I forgot to pay for a month last year and now another month this year). So hubby and me were up till 1am yesterday trying to figure route what payment we still need to make.

Today when I went there armed with all the info we used to work it out the management was not available of course. They will have left by the time I pick up fuzzling and tomorrow I am back to work (and fuzzling doesn't go to nursery on Fridays). I need to pay by tomorrow though. So I need to.make a dedicated trip just to sort this out and I really don't want to. Its not a big problem but I'm just annoyed by it.

Inspite of fuzzling sleeping though the night I'm shattered because we went to bed too late. I don't want to have a map because if I do that the whole day will be wasted. But then I wanted to take dex today but I don't want to do it when I'm.sleep deprived.

I've got too much to do.
