ADHD and Obsessing over hot actors

How many of you obsess over a particular acter every now and then? I know this is a passing thing as every once in awhile I hyperfocus on one thing only to wake up one day and the obsession is gone.

Anyway, I saw Cold Mountain a couple of weeks ago. I cannot get over how HOT Jude Law is . I mean everytime I see a picture of that man he takes my breath away.

Maybe I liked the character he played...I sure didn't like him in the Road to Pardition with Tom Hanks. Eew. Do you remember or have you seen that movie? He was scary.

Are any of you girls like that? Is this an ADHD symptom? I know women think Jude Law is hot, but my gosh, will this end???

It's not a symptom that is found in the diagnostic criteria but obesessing or "ruminating" is very common for people with AD/HD. If you add anxiety to the pitcure then yes it's a huge problem.

Oh yeah, I obsess and ruminate. For a while it was someone I knew...not okay because he was married and so am I and I saw him every once in a while...had to try not to blush knowing what I'd been thinking since the last time I saw him. (gasp!) Lately my mind has been wandering to Alan Rickman, what can I say, I like them older...wink wink nudge nudge. When I'm in touch with reality I can back off and just appreciate the talent. Sometimes though, the thoughts are excessive, way too excessive.

[Hope drools eternal] Yes... George Clooney. He has my vote. And there was a movie John Cusak was in that I found him and his pouty lips terribly attractive. Then a few years later, he was still attractive but not attacktively attractive.

Who could be sexier than Bruce Willies?
Anyway, I don't think I have that problem with actors.
However, once in while, I meet someone (hubby's friend or co-worker, swimming teacher, etc., for example) that takes my sleep away and seems to be stocked in my mind. In think, in my case is truly a symptom of OCD because I try not to think of him, and there he is, and it is very disturbing. I feel bad because I am married and I love my husband, but it doesn't last long...just a couple of weeks.

I remember when I was little, (I'm talking about three years old to about eleven), how flirtatious I was. I mean, very innocent, but very flirtatious. I used to like almost every man or boy when I was very little. And I let them know in many cases.

Actually my object of lust isn't an actor, it's Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters.

OH MAN, you wanna talk about abandon my life as I know it? Send Dave Grohl over on him's white horse
