Adderall and Mio water enhancer

I read and acknowledge the value of drinking plenty of water while on ADHD medication, but I have never been a water man. Until recently (due to adverse reactions) I drank a combination of coffee and caffeinated diet sodas. A few weeks ago I quit both and replaced it with Mio flavored water.

I was wondering... is the Citric Acid in Mio sufficiently high enough in concentration to qualify it as an acidic drink? reading the drug information that came with the pills it indicated avoiding acidic drinks around the time of taking the pills.

Thanks.

PS: First day on 2x 20mg, so far so good, although initial pill only gave me 4 hours before the fog rolled back in. I waited a few hours before taking the second one in order to stretch out the benefit. Combined, I would say it is as effective as 40mg Vyvanse was for me.

Here's an old thread about this:

I was told to avoid it at least 2 hours after taking my dose and an hour before a second or booster dose.

So basically slide one 20 oz glass in between doses, then abstain until after the second dose. Guess I can go on decaff coffee instead, anything but regular water. I can have 20 ozs water sat beside me all day and it would only be half drunk at best.

Re: Adderall and Mio water enhancer

i have a hard time with plain water as well, unless I'm really hot and thirsty. I can manage to drink several glasses if I'm out somewhere for dinner. I still drink Dt. Coke and I don't drink the decaf. I love MiO and I'd hate to have to give it up, even though I just read an article about how bad it really was.

I see you're on IR. I'm on XR. I take it about 7:30 or 8 and then an IR booster at about 2:45 or 3. I haven't noticed any difference if I have caffeine or citric acid (I don't drink OJ or juice) right after I take my first dose. I try to just drink water, but sometimes I have to have my Diet Coke!

Re: Adderall and Mio water enhancer

Everything you drink except milk and water has citric acid in .

So dont waste your time worrying how it will effect your meds

they will still work. Just drink and eat the way you always have.

one warning dont drink diet anything google all man made sweetner like splenda sweet and low all of them are bad for your brian and can cause stroke

so people who use these products should switch to real sugar just use in moderation

this game from an adhd doctor look in to it.

What about Stevia based sweeteners? Adding sugar back into my diet would play havoc with my diet. I am the sort of person that only has to look at a can of regular coke and put on a pound. :-)

Re: Adderall and Mio water enhancer

Stevia is OK. Since it comes straight from the Stevia plant. It's far better than any other "non-sugar sweeteners".

I buy mine from Trader Joe's.
