ADD grad students: did you mention your ADD in your statement of purpose?

I need to start working on my statement of purpose for my grad school applications. The guides to writing a statement of purpose that I've found say to explain any special conditions that have affected your academic performance. Should I tell them I have ADD or will that look like a cop-out? Do you think having ADD will make me look like a poor candidate for admission?
