She just called and wants me to start at 20mg then increase by 10 mg every couple of days until I hit 40mg.

I really hope it helps. Any idea how long until I can tell if it's working??

varies....do you have a placebo affect? May start right away in that case!!! If not, may take a few days...as was case with me...and some doctors say wait as much as 6 weeks to see effect...EVERYONE IS SO DIFFERENT....Please drink lots of water....

Well, they didn't have it so have to order it. Now I'm wondering if I should try the Effexor instead. The doc had me choose which one but kind of sounded like she thought the Effexor would be better for me. I chose Strattera, basically, just becuase. Any suggestions?

Yes, would try Strattera first...it's specifically for adults with add and a non stimulant...you'll know Misclee pretty quickly whether it's a "go" or not....you can always do the effexor.....which is not without side effects either....I guess what I'm saying is if you want to TARGET the add, go for the strattera first....that targets add. Effexor from what I understand is an antidepressant...not really an ADD drug...incidentally did your doctor ever mention possibly at some point being on both an antidepressant and add med at same time? Some people do that....but in any event, would go with Strattera....first....
