How does adderal affect the adrenals?

Does adderall make the adrenal glands work harder or work less? is it just adderall's chemicals that give that focus and energy? Iv been taking adderall for years now and always took weekend breaks off it to let my adrenal glands rest and heal. Thank u for ur time
