In 7th Grade, but reading at 2nd grade

Help my son has been in resourse and special day class for almost his whole school life. In the whole time at elemtary he never tested higher then 2nd grade 3rd qtr. Now that we are in middle school. I seem to have more knowlegable teachers to help him. They are insuring me that a reading program called language! would help. Does anyone have any experience with this program.
