Mother's side. Her Father (my Grandfather) likely had it as well.

Neither of my parents have been diagnosed. They both show signs of it but have polar opposite ADD traits. I'm pretty sure it's on both sides of my family though. Several relatives on both sides have a lot of ADD traits.

Good question, but I don't know. I suppose I ought to ask. Not sure that I told them I have been getting treatment as an adult. It isn't that I am uncomfortable with telling them, I'm just not very close to either of them.

i'm pretty sure that my father - were he to be tested - would be diagnosed with something similar to what i've been diagnosed with: "adhd, add and asperger syndrome", although i'm guessing in *his* case, the "aspie" part would come *first*...

Mom. Undiagnosed but I'd bet money that she's ADD/ADHD and maybe a bit OCD.

neither of my parents have ADD, we're thinking my grandma on my dad's side has it.

My mother is diagnosed Bi-polar.

I don't know my dad at all...but am very close w/ the rest of his family. Going by the stories they and my mother have told me about him and his personality...I'd say that he definitely displays the main characteristics of AD/HD

I'm just guessing on this one, since my parents aren't diagnosed. I'm pretty sure my mother is (since I see it also in my mom's mom) and my father is, well, just emotionally challenged (can't call everything ADD, can you?).

My mom has inattentive type, and my dad has the one that's a little like OCD. (I forget what its called). My sisters both have various types, and two of my brothers have inattentive. We're not sure if my oldest brother had hyperactive type, or if he just didn't fit in with the rest of us. He was in the military tho, so he's gone undiagnosed if he's got it.

Although he was undiagnosed, my father had a lot of the symptoms from the Hallowell checklist for ADD. He loved high risk behaviors, had no follow through, "self-medicated" and could hyperfocus with the best of them. So, I would say, definitely from my dad. My mom seemed like it sometimes, but then again, she could finish projects and was a straight A student all her years in school.
