Rocking

The question on pacing reminded me that as a child I used to rock back and forth from one leg to the other and hum at the same time a lot. Are there other rockers out there?

Cool

Absolutely! I still do it, only when standing. I must look like I'm rocking an invisible baby!

Still rocking.

I once rocked so hard as a kid while sitting on my mother's lap I knocked my head into her teeth, loosened them, and she ended up having 4 of them capped.

Rocking is very soothing to me. If my babies are sick I want them in my lap to soothe them. When I'm feeling manic I rock. When I want to relax with my morning cup of coffee I rock.

You rock and roll people, you

I rock myself to sleep and sit in a rocking chair to the supper table. Shhhh...I've heard it's a "sign".

rock on,

Come to think of it I've been rocking to music from side to side in a sitting position since I was a baby, it was thought that I was on the autistic spectrum only after many long years it was found that I'm not on the ASD spectrum, in fact I was running around with an undiagnosed tic disorder that was discovered when I was 17 and dxd when I was 19 and just last year I also discovered that I was an undiagnosed sufferer of sensory integration disorder, I've read that rocking is a symptom of this disorder in some cases.
