Pramiracetam - Possible treatment for ADD-PI

I've heard from more than a few people that they are seeing amazing results with this stuff, similar to those of amphetamine based stimulants but without the side effects like anxiety. Since a lot of ADD-I's don't have success with first line stimulant medication, perhaps this could be a possible solution?

Re: Pramiracetam - Possible treatment for ADD-PI

I've done some research on this and plan on ordering some. I'll try to share my results. Has anyone else here tried it?

Re: Pramiracetam - Possible treatment for ADD-PI

I'm not PI but I've been taking piracetam for a couple years.

It was very helpful at 1st, even decreased my need for caffeine significantly but it has become significantly less effective over time. The effectiveness seems to vary significantly on different days too. I take a choline source with it as piracetam depletes acetylcholine and what I was getting in my diet didn't seem to be enough.

I don't know how pharmaceutically pure the piracetam available these days is either. A while back the FDA cracked down on companies selling it as a supplement and it could be my imagination but what I've gotten since seems to be a lot weaker.

Re: Pramiracetam - Possible treatment for ADD-PI

I'm certainly not a pharmacologist, but everything I've read indicates that it is relatively safe having a pretty low toxicity.. and it has no known drug reactions (though I've heard not to take it with amphetamine based medications i.e. adderall)..

Also if you notice that you don't think it is as strong as it used to be you can also try Pramiracetam, which is supposedly 15x stronger than Piractem.

Re: Pramiracetam - Possible treatment for ADD-PI

I have been eyeing this up. I havent got round to thinking of meds because I have been too busy unpicking the mess that came with years of undiagnosed Add( and there is a hell of a mess) however I have been googling it this week. I would love to hear other peoples reports too.
