Am I crazy to stop anxiety meds?

I've been taking meds for anxiety/depression for about 5 years. Was diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago. My theory is that my anxiety was mostly related to the ADHD. It stemmed from constantly feeling overwhelmed and seemed to be triggered more when I had to do anything that called for the slightest bit of organization. Pack the kids up to go to the pool, clean my closet, drive someplace I've never been to before... But with therapy and ADD meds I'm so much better at those things. So maybe I don't need the anxiety meds anymore? I still get anxious and ruminate at times but I think it's specific to a situation. Like flying. And I don't travel often. My therapst and psychiatrist think I still need them. I trust both of them but I'm sick of taking 3 pills everyday (I know that's not that many but I'm a wuss with a very sensitive gag reflex). And I honestly don't think the anxiety meds worked that well to begin with. Sure I can just try it but I'm afraid of weening myself off the Pristiq and putting myself through that if it's not going to work. My doctor says going off Pristiq is not as bad as others but I don't believe her. I was told going off Effexor wasn't going to be bad and it was horrible. Anyone here try this? Thoughts?

Not crazy, no. My doctor is only putting me on anti-depressants for a year or so and then he said the stims should act as an anti-depressant after that amount of time. But i would definitely ensure your doctor is aware of what you're doing.
