Red face Better late then never!

As you can see by my post count, I've been here for a while already but have never formally said hello.

I was diagnosed earlier this year after a therapist I was seeing for motivation and anger issues suggested that I might have ADHD. My diagnosis has helped me to make sense of my entire life- there is not a single part of my life that's not been affected by ADHD.

I'm happy that I finally can see what I need to do to get my life on track, but I'm also overwhelmed because I'm just now realizing how big of a project that really is.

I'm really greatful for these forums, they've helped me immensely as I've been trying to make sense of my disorder.

As my treatment progresses, hopefully you all will see less and less of me. Internet addiction is a big issue for me. I'm hoping my new therapist doesn't make me block this site, but she might.

Anyway, you all are awesome! And I'm so greatful for everything I've learned from everyone here!

I'm using software to limit myself to 90 min/day on sites that distract me.
I have 60 seconds left now. Ha! Better post fast.

Re: Better late then never!

What software are you using? I have to do something, meds really don't help that much. I do feel crappier about myself for my addiction now, I guess that's a start.

You can get Leechblock for Firefox or StayFocusd for Google Chrome.

In the meantime...welcome to the site, newcomer! Seriously, thanks for all your great contributions here.

ana, I can relate in so many ways- to jobs, relationships, important matters especially parenting. I was also just diagnosed this year with ADD, and it's a huge relief to know what was wrong with me allllll these years and to know it's treatable. You aren't alone, and honestly I enjoy your posts.
