perplexing headache issue

So I have read a few other threads with people having similar headaches to mine, so I'd REALLY like to solve this as it's been driving me crazy.

The headache seems to happen right after I take my medications (either adderall or dexedrine), not as it's wearing off like most people. Also, it doesn't happen every time but rather, with seemingly random frequency (maybe every 1 out of 3).

Also, I don't get a headache if I take my medication RIGHT after I wake up in the morning. However, if I wait a few hours before taking my first dose I am much more likely to get the headache.

Here's a description of the headache: it tends to feel like a sort of pressure behind the eyes and maybe the eyebrows. I also feel a lot of tension in my temples and when I massage my temples I can feel the veins there kind of pulsing. My vision gets blurry and it's hard for me to focus my eyes due to that pressure feeling.

People have been saying blood pressure is an issue, but I've always had really good blood pressure and I even bought a blood pressure and pulse monitor. I have not been able to find a correlation to blood pressure at all.

An interesting note is that my mother also gets these exact type of headaches, but she's not on any medications and she gets them more frequently than I do. So my guess is that I'm probably more prone to them due to genetics, and the medications are somehow triggering them.

Others have mentioned TMJ or jaw clenching as a potential issue, and I have been chewing gum which might be helping a little (might be a placebo effect).

My doctor has no idea what the problem is and the headaches were the reason I tried dexedrine to no avail. If anyone has an idea, I'd really appreciate any help.

Re: perplexing headache issue

I get headaches from taking corepharma mixed amp salts, but it seems like you get them taking different medications altogether. All I can offer is maybe try a different manufacturer. If not then it may be amps as a whole that your body just doesn't fully accept, its hard to say.

Re: perplexing headache issue

I get a similar headache shortly after I take adderall as well. I have to combine adderall with coffee for adderall to work the way I want it to and for the headache to go away.

You might say that the headache is just from a coffee addiction, but I do not get a headache if I skip adderall for a day.
