What is your desktop image?
I now have a rotating selection of pictures that cross my pc desktop that include: pictures of atoms, family and friends, political cartoons, Shah Rukh Khan (major Bollywood star), stars and galaxy NASA images, star trek show images, geological timescale chart, Celebrity Read posters, and things that caught my fancy but what I like is that as the images change they remind of people I care about and topics of interest.

I don't have one yet! (New computer.) Thanks for bringing it up! I should do that.
(Although -  thinking about it reminds me of my last laptop, and the picture I used as a desktop on it. It was a picture of my deceased kitty Kiki, and I put it there to remind me to keep working towards my goal to find us a home where I and my "babies" could live together in peace and harmony. Choosing a new one now can't help but remind me of that.)

on my old laptop it was a collage of women i made...ginger reyes, angelina jolie, jayonna fabro,...a girl witha banana in her mouth, jenna shea...you get the picture
this time i just left my background as it came which is of the universe

Anime at the moment, but I tend to swap them out about once a week. My last one was an electron photo of a virus. Before that, an abstract photo of an abandoned building...

I don't really know how to describe mine. It's sort of a modern artsy splash of rainbow-colored plants, birds, fish, butterflies, etc. that appears to have been thrown against the background and is dripping down the page. When I saw it I thought, "If the inside of my head looked like anything, this would probably be it."

Solid gray background.
I've tried images in the past but found that I'm much more productive when there isn't one to distract me.
