Smile Undiagnosed Adults with ADD

Hi!

I know I am new here, but I have been surfing this site and reading some of the suggested places I should post here. No one who has responded to my posts has ever said there should be an undiagnosed thread. So that is my suggestion-I would love to see a posting area for adults with ADD who are undiagnosed. The reason is I went to some sort of ADD/ADHD mixer and I was never diagnosed and my parents never told me yes or no even if they knew.
Thanks
Mel

Re: Undiagnosed Adults with ADD

I think the issue might be is that if you are undiagnosed then you really dont know if you have adhd or not.

Re: Undiagnosed Adults with ADD

I think that "Diagnosis and Treatment" is a good spot for those conversations, since it is about getting a diagnosis. I'd assume there would be many potential yet undiagnosed members there.

Sarah-

Thanks that was entirely the point I was trying to make. I read one of the articles here on ADD and I almost laughed becuse it described me. I just wish I had answers so I can get closure, because I always hated my learning disability because no one could tell me what it is.

Re: Undiagnosed Adults with ADD

I would say it's more important for YOU to find out if YOU are ADD positive or not. Having an undiagnosed section on this thread is like having a men's section on a women's health forum.

Hang on a sec-I am diagnosed as having an LD problem, but for some reason no one will get specific with me and now since I am no longer in Public School it doesn't bother anyone except me because I want some answers. From how my husband of almost 15 years has seen me act he is positive that I have ADD. I am going to ask my neurologist when I see him again.
