Do you ever give negative rep?

I used to only give positive rep but recently I have been giving out a ton of negative rep.

And guess what? I don't care anymore! If I gave you negative rep, it was for a reason.

Anyways, who else gives out plenty of negative rep ?

It's rare rare rare for me to neg rep, I used to not do so but under certain circumstances I will. I don't care to do so generally.

You know, I don't really use reps that much because I just "thank" people. I don't know why someone would give one negative reps.

Wrong information, something just plain stupid, personal attacks, bad advice.

I give out a lot of negative rep (once or twice every few days) but I also give out tons of green (several times daily).

I don't give much negative rep, but when I do it's usually because someone said something I found profoundly wrong and objectionable.

I also tend to neg rep when someone posts without appearing like they had spent even 5 minutes researching the topic. i.e. "it's perfectly okay to pass your meds out to friends if they want to try and see if it helps them" or "taking amphetamines and an MAOI is perfectly fine!"

i recieved negative rep only once, and it was deserved. i believe it was still in my first few months here and when i was still more of a ******* than i am now haha

i dont think ive given negative rep, only positive

I have given negative rep a hand full of times - four maybe five times and twice was to the same person. It's been a while though.

I give out positive reps all the time - I prefer to support good postings, make folks feel good about their contributions here The way I see it is most folks with ADHD get enough negative stuff in life as it is.

Every now and then some one decides to be a true blue knuckle head and a negative rep is my internet version of a swift kick in the posterior. Some folks need to be told they are being a**-holes just in case they didn't already know.

I've never given nor received negative rep. I like the concept of positive rep as a form of encouragement or saying thanks but i just can't see the point of negative rep. Anything that has to be said can be said openly in the thread for the benefit of others as wellI, eg debunking myths and misinformation. More delicate private matters can be discussed using pm s. I don't see how it helps to have a public indicator of how popular a poster or their opinions are. I don't think it helps anyone in any way, except that for a few moments you can feel superior and powerful. Err... Please do't negative rep me for this post.

I don't give negative rep - ever.

I never have any intention of every giving negative rep.

Anyone who gives me negative rep ends up on my ignore list.

I figure if someone wants to respond to me in that way they're not worth knowing. If someone has a problem with me I expect them to confront me openly rather than covertly.
