......Not for the first time, I am "sharing" a David Bromberg song, yet another favortie of mine ....( ok about every other cut on any of his albums are favorites of mine ....)

....Anyway ...this is not a short song ....you need about 20 minutes....but this song is one of the reasons I love the songs he does ....the man has complete command of the English language , and is funny ...really funny .....while singing the blues ....

you gotta love a line that says..."Oh please mr. pawnbroker, won't you sell me that 38, I used to take a 44 but lately I been losing weight" .....and you buy a 3 piece pin-stripe suit, so you're dressed to kill so to speak .....


.....the story of a man whose best girl is now living with his best friend ....also his roommate ....

...It's a live cut, recorded at Great American Music Hall in San Francsico.....a great place for music ....perfectly named ....and a great example of how David holds an audience in his hands....the consumate showman ....

....HIs story telling ...is full of detail that paints pictures in your head ....


take a few minutes, put on your headphones, and go have a good giggle at his version of the blues .....

When I saw the Bullfrog Blues title of your post I thought..hey,that sounds like one of Salleh's songs and yep,that's just what it is! Haven't heard Bromberg in a long time. I'm not in good reception area and it keeps buffering so I'm not really enjoying it but since I got a new phone I have Pandora and now I get to hear all the music I love while I'm driving.

That's the reason I finally broke down and got the phone...the radio died in my truck! So I'll be listening to Bromberg tomorrow as I roll down the road!
