What career would be good for an Adder?

I have had so many jobs that I succeed at to a point then fail and feel I will not get any further so this is not for me and move on. I cannot keep going like this. I would love to know what I could use my special talents as an Adder to be in front of the normal World rather than being forever getting things wrong.

Any ideas or inspiration would be good. I just know I must be good at something.

Not a desk jockey.

What are you passionate about?

Re: What career would be good for an Adder?

But seriously, I also worked in a locksmith shop. I would have stayed with it if the owner apprenticed me like he said he would. You spend a lot of time cutting keys, which is easy enough, you just have to make sure the key and blank are secure in the cutter and make them identical. Hardest part of that is finding the right blank. Mess up the key? Thats ok it can go in scrap metal.

And as long as you have fine motor control you can rekey locks too. Lock pick guns are fun. Its interesting, not the same thing every day, you get some challenges that come up (someone comes in with a lock without a code number on it and you have to make a key) setting up master key systems, its really cool how to make more than one key work in one lock simple math.

I learned a bit about unlocking cars, that part is a bit complicated. So many makes of cars, and you have to know the different locking mechanisms. But lucky enough, most of the that is getting taken away by things like dealership fobs and onstar. Safes, I get the basic idea, but never worked on one.

Re: What career would be good for an Adder?

I guess, anything that you love, care and are passionate about. If you can see yourself doing the same job unpaid, just for leasure then it's probably the right one for you. Sigh...I know that's hard to find...

Re: What career would be good for an Adder?

Some days I think a job that doesn't require thinking would be nice. But then again I'd get bored.

So my second answer - a job where you can take lots of holidays.

Maybe an itinerant worker where you travel around from place to place picking up off jobs. Could be a good way to see the world.

I guess it depends on what you enjoy. I enjoy computers and working on them, which is why I work in the IT field. Lots of computer time, lots of moving around, lots of hands on.

Re: What career would be good for an Adder?

Depends on so much!!

I shouldn't have studied medicine, but I'm going into General Practice. Lots of variety, more stable hours than my other love: emergency medicine.

The thing is, there are so many different ADHD people... for example: my friend who also has ADHD is becoming a psychiatrist.... but I need to be more physically active.
