Hello again!

Hey guys,stopping in to say hi,been a long time. Still on the road with big Earl. But...there is something really BIG in the works for me. I am finally getting an evaluation! I could have been done with it by now,but out on the road I have to concentrate on my job so much I put a lot of stuff on the back burner,like for instance the 16 page questionnaire I had to fill out and send back.

I kept it on the dash for a few months,and every so often I'd answer one question and put it back on the dash. One of the questions was 'name two wishes I would like to have'. Well,I was honest and said I wished to never have to answer one of these questionnaires again! lol!

Another question was: People who don't like me........
Here I said the line of people who don't like me forms to the left and its a long line so don't forget to pack a lunch. Hehe!

So now the next step is waiting to be told when to show up in NJ to have a meeting with the dr. Doc is willing to work with me since I'm on the road all the time and not able to keep most appointments. Actually I've had several meetings with several groups of people and it is VERY DRAINING,but this meeting with the doc will be a big step in my life. A little bit scary too.

I also came so close to quitting I emptied the truck and turned in the key,expecting to never come back again. But,ya know a week and a half away from the road and I came back stronger than ever.

Getting so O L D too! I was sure I had a hip going,but it turns out I have bursitis in my hip. Its my clutch leg,too. So a shot of cortisone out of a great big needle stabbed in my hip seems to have helped the pain.

Oh,one other thing,I entered a photo of Earl in a photo contest that Pilot truck stops was holding. Now great danes are not a popular breed with truck drivers and I knew I would never win,but I still like to show my buddy off so I sent the photo in. Then I realized this would be a great opportunity to win money for my favorite animal shelter because the winners were chosen by the amount of votes.

I went to the shelters facebook page and rallied everybody into voting for me and guess what? I WON!! I won,well,we won $1,000 which I happily sent to the shelter. I also won 50,000 points($500) that could be used in the store and I kept those. I've have been needing a new CB radio and I guess I'll get a nice one now!

Whoop!!!!! Way to go Earl!!!!! Being a Dane owner, I'm rather partial to all Danes and I think that Earl should win every competition he enters.

Congrats to you too, DL. I'm glad you are getting an evaluation and that your bursitis is treated. Good thing it wasn't hip.

It has been a long hard weekend ....and I was feeling pretty good about it....as I did pretty ok ( at the flea market on Treasure Island) and then I get home .....and check out what all of you guys are up to , and lo and behold ....there's a note from my ole friend Danelady ......

Child you made it the perfect weekend ! ....so glad to hear you're ok ....and Earl too of course .....and I love the "line forms at the left, pack a lunch" ...hee hee hee ....nice work for the shelter too ...and a neew CB .....I think they're hard to understand under the best of circumstances ....if you need a new one ....you must be proficient in that most esoteric of languages ....." CB garble" to have understood anyone on an old one.....


....the northeast ??? ..thye do have you rambling around the country don't they ....I was just thinking about you last week ....and was sending good thoughts at ya whichever highway you were roaming around on ....

Salleh!!!! I'm so glad you're doing ok! Yeah,its like I'm being punished or something the way they keep me in the east all the time. I don't think there is one single truckstop in the state of Vermont!

Haha! I usually can't understand what those radio rambos are saying either!! But,I'm sure you've noticed how crazy the weather has gotten around the country and a radio comes in handy in an emergency. There's usually one person in the bunch that talks in fairly decent english without the twang!
