Random rambling comments for today

1) Is there anything funnier than little Honey Boo Boo? The whole family cracks me up. My life would totally be more entertaining if they lived next door. That might "make me a redneck." (As Honey Boo Boo says, "You better redneckognize!") Jumping in that huge pool of mud looks like TONS more fun than I've had in a long time. (This comment goes to show I watch WAY too much TV in the summer -- okay, all year long.)

2) Gisele Bunchen (sp?), mega-billionaire supermodel, is pregnant. I hate women who look hot even when they're pregnant. It's hard to believe they struggle with hemorrhoids, random gastrointestinal complaints embarrassing them in public places, or cankles. And why do they never end up with the Fat Bagel? (This is the stretchy, wobbly fat pouch where the belly originally resided. At least with me, if I grab it with both hands and squeeze, it looks like - well - a Fat Bagel).

3) I'm sitting in my kitchen gazing at all the crap I've accumulated in only, say, three days. Random sample of whatever my eyes land on first -- old sonogram picture of my newborn with a password written on the back, empty box for a blood pressure cuff, almost empty bottle of Rainbow Bubbles, empty graham cracker package, empty Diamond peanuts container, almost empty Apple Jacks box -- is there a theme here? If everything is empty, why haven't I thrown this crap out? For once I actually have trash bags.

4) My newborn sleeps. Like, in long stretches. It's a miracle . . . I've never had a "sleeper" -- but instead of accomplishing something to make my life feel less like an abyss of random crap threatening to swallow me, I'm writing random crap on the Internet.

ADD YOUR RANDOM COMMENTS! Disturbing, hilarious, questionable, self-pitying -- anything! I want to know!

Re: Random rambling comments for today

Lol! fat bagel and trash accumulation! Notice, though, ITS NOT ALL MY/YOUR TRASH! The bin is less than 2 feet from the kitchen table, but if there is a sea of empty cereal boxes (I don't eat it), chinese food containers (nope, don't eat that either) and other random rubbish on the kitchen table, and empty toilet rolls on the bathroom floor (I'm sure not the only one here who s***s!) it is somehow due to my disorganisation.

Being a woman, having ADHD, and perimenopausality (is that a word?) is REALLY feeling like the rough end of the pineapple.

Is this an australian idiom?

I love it.

Re: Random rambling comments for today

I should say, the above described chaos is barely representative of the total chaos picture. People have said I'm a hoarder. I'm not. There's just a lot of stuff i don't know what to do with. Further... i don't seek it out..... it arrives!

Re: Random rambling comments for today

1) No, no, no!! I don't really like you--I'm simply being nice because it's hard for me to be mean and I feel sorry for you! No please stop emailing me and messaging me--- I only joined the site as a joke and I'm not serious about any of this--how many times do I have to flush before you go away? Well, I *might* be serious if you were the one with the killer abs--no really, I'm not serious. No, you don't have killer abs so don't even bother trying to convince me you do.

2) What? You made her swallow the Spiriva pill instead of putting it in the inhaler?! Oh FFS! I swear, I have to do everything myself. Yes--ANSWER THE FREAKING PHONE! I'm in the bath! No, you HAVE to sit up. You HAVE to eat. You HAVE to get dressed! No, I'm NOT mean and no you WON'T die if you don't do what you are supposed to do. Not immediately anyway. Have you died yet? No. You are still here. So stop being silly and cooperate. Stop taking the breathing treatment mask off!!! You HAVE to finish the treatment. Why? Why?!?!?!

3) I've already shown you my ID twice and I'm old enough to be your mom so stop. I probably babysat you. Go hit up some immature 20 something child. If you aren't over 38 then please, move along. Unless you are going to give me a discount.

4) Do I have to remind you of the time that my thong was stuck to the back of my UnderArmour sweatshirt and the guy behind me in Target had to tell me it was there? Yes, that IS the reason I INSIST you use fabric softener and/or dryer sheets when you do the laundry. It's also one of the reasons that I prefer to wash, fold and put away everything myself. The other reason? C'mon, I am not even CLOSE to the same size as our 14 year old son, so how my clothes keep ending up in his closet and drawers is a mystery if YOU aren't the one to put theme there. I think when you put a baby blue sleep shirt in his closet that is a) size XS; b) he owns nothing that is baby blue and c) the shirt won't even fit around his torso, it's simply because you aren't paying attention.... Fine okay. You ARE paying attention and it IS because I put my clothes in his pile.....

5) Yes, you are my nearest and dearest friend and I will do anything for you. Now lets go get you those supplies and you can tell me all about your evening so I can live vicariously through you tonight. I'll be sure to reciprocate this weekend and I won't leave out any details.

6) Slick you are not. You are clearly living in lala land or you don't care about anyone but yourself. I vote the latter. I am not stupid and I see right through you and I have from the get-go. Just because I don't call you out on the discrepancies in your stories doesn't mean you've gotten away with lies or that I don't know what you're up to. Neg me all you want. Yeah, I know the game so don't act innocent or shocked when I point out what you are doing. I know what you are and what you're about. Lonely, sad and alone is what you are destined to be.

7) No we are NOT out of mustard. You will actually have to MOVE things around in the door of the fridge to see all of the condiments. They won't magically appear just because you are looking for them. SEE? Three containers of mustard. Why are there three containers of mustard in the fridge? Because you two won't MOVE anything to see if we are out and you get a new container from the pantry. You guys open the door, stand stock still staring into the depths of the fridge and announce "we are out of mustard." I just want you to know, you guys have a lot of mustard to eat..... Yes, we have cheese. It's in the drawer. Yes, it is. MOVE the package of grated cheese and you will see it! You have hands--USE THEM FOR SOMETHING OTHER THAN GAMING! Geez Louise........There simply isn't enough alcohol to get me through my day sometimes...

Re: Random rambling comments for today

I wish I could just trust my instincts. Instead I think and rethink and rethink for hours or days and then just do what I originally thought I should do anyway.

I hate seeing people in pain and wish I could wave my magic wand and make it better. Or at least give them some hugs and dark chocolate.

Do my kids and animals really get sick just at night and on the weekend or do I just not notice until then because I'm spending too much time thinking and thinking?

Nothing goes in drawers in our house. Opening a drawer is sort of like Christmas - I find things I have not seen in years.

Re: Random rambling comments for today

Angora,

Same here re: drawers! I find that if I can't see it, it doesn't exist. Cleaning for me is truly like going shopping -- a lot of times not only haven't I seen it in a while, I forgot that I got it in the first place!

Funny story -- I found a pair of women's underwear that I didn't recognize and I brought it to my husband huffing and puffing -- WHERE did this come from? He rolled his eyes at me and reminded me when and where I bought it -- which then cued my memory. Oops, sorry honey!!
