Management techniques

Now to start off im still in highschool but really wasn't sure where else to post this. but since my freshman year ive had some serious changes most of them being negative.
i was diagnosed when i was 5 and have been medicated since. then to just name off everything i struggle with on a everyday basis
low grade depression
severe insomnia
severe adhd
fine motor coordination(handwriting)
overly suspicious of everyone and everything(not like paranoid just not trusting)

now after a divorce and being uprooted, my attitude towards people and not caring about them have completely changed. And any trust towards anyone is completely nonexistent. for the record i have good intentions but i am the type of person that says whats on their mind and being impulsive is a terrible combination.

if any of you have techniques that you wouldn't mind sharing it would be awesome. i feel i am starting to lose control, taking nearly suicidal risks ect, thanks

Re: Management techniques

Just saw this post, and I'm no expert so don't assume I have the "right" answer.

But one thing I'd say is that if you are taking nearly suicidal risks, you really need to find professional help. The thing is, sometimes we do need to admit we could use some help. And you really don't want to do things that you can't take back later.

Again, I'm new to all this, but it sounds like there are so many ways that the mental health profession can help people. I hear a lot of stories here and elsewhere about how people are finding their doctor provided answers when they were without hope or problems they couldn't lick.

Why suffer without checking on what might help you? Don't just ignore things and face regrets, or find yourself doing things you shouldn't. Honestly, I bet there's help out there for you. And a better understanding of the fight.

Reading your post makes me feel for you and want to help. So, like I said, this answer might not be "right". I'm not an expert and don't know how to help you. But it's just me as a person trying to encourage and urge you to find help to get you "over the hump".

Best wishes.

Re: Management techniques

Find a homework buddy, or a program where they have someone help you with your homework. I would have been stubborn if someone else had suggested it, but it helps when you have someone there that knows you mean to study. It tended to kick in my competitive drive. I never studied well at home. Too many distractions.
If you're dealing with home upheaval, GO FIND A SPORT OR ACTIVITY. It helps to get out of the house, so you don't have to deal with everyone else, and everyone else knows it's 'you' time. They tend to leave you alone and you probably desperately need that. I know I did, though it wasn't a divorce I was dealing with.
Write down your homework when it's assigned in the same planner/notebook. Always. Even if you're 100% sure you'll remember. Because sometimes you will remember, but not until it's too late. Get into the habit. It'll help.

I would recommend therapy to help you with these things.
