Depression is coming
Everything is ok for me kind of. Things are complicated but are ok for now. I am as positive as ever, I am happy mostly all the time..I feel tho depression is coming and I don't want to go through that again its terrible. I feel it though, I feel so freaking lonely man I have no one to talk to at all ! Its sad
it really is. I'm also just behind, not getting nothing done, I mean I should be at a great position but I'm not I don't get things done. Ahh man I feel so alone so alone so alone. I am trying to be positive, there are some positive things in my life but I guess all the negative is just coming together slowly. I don't want to be depressed but I feel like I will soon. Why me? :/ jeez |

Re: Depression is coming
((((Hugs))))
Sorry, I wish I could help. I get lonely too sometimes - It always passes. Sometimes it helps me to get a good nights sleep, remember to exercise - and well - something chocolate. Talk to your doctor if you think you need something - try to head it off before it gets too bad. |

Re: Depression is coming
Are you on meds? How long does it usually last? If you get it bad please go to the doc for some help.
I know the feeling very well, been having it since childhood but learned to accept it as part of myself because I know it doesnīt last forever, it will pass, itīs just a phase that I have to keep going through. I know you feel alone right now but Iīm sure there are many people on this board that know how you feel. I canīt advise how best for you to deal with it as people need to deal with it in different ways, personally I just go with it and rider the waves but others may need meds or to take extra exercise, be active and talk to friends, plan some good things. Hope it passes for you quickly, sending you hugs x |

Re: Depression is coming
I came online now to post the exact same thing, word for word.
Been wanting to all day but felt too shy. I have been having the same ominous feeling that depression could come to visit me again. And same as you, i should be in a great place atm, but instead im just behind in everything, but still getting things done. I've had a cry twice today because I can't take feeling so alone anymore, but my life is actually pretty good. I went for a walk with my bf & friend along the esplanade tonight which was nice, and my bf has been so sweet, but he couldn't stay over, so ive been sad, even though he said he was sorry hes not here. I don't know why I'm feeling this way. I also feel there is no one i can talk to. But here we both are, hey? I think if we just keep going, even if we are behind, we'll be ok & not fall into the sad trap. We just can't let ourselves give up and become static. I wish you were happy like it sounds you deserve to be right now .But thankyou for posting so much- i feel a bit better, less alone in this now, and i hope you will feel better, too. There's at least two of us in this place, so we aren't alone after all .*hugs* xxBB

Re: Depression is coming
Thanks everyone, I wish I could actually get a hug, I definitely need one. I don't really have any friends to talk to, my good friends all moved away. How did I get this old and have no one to talk to? I am so lonely, its like everything I do is just all by myself. I feel so empty inside *sigh* everyone has somebody and I have nothing. No I haven't seen a doctor and I'm not taking any meds. I will try to get really good sleep and exercise more or play sports to help. Hopefully it helps, before I start killing my head with negatives and stuff. Last time I was depressed, everything was sooo bad and I remember crying a couple times. I'm trying my best to not go through that again. Have to be positive.
@BohoButterfly Happy to have posted, I just had to let it out. Its nice to see I'm not so alone and yea even though I'm behind on things, have to keep going and things are pretty ok I have to admit. I feel a bit better, thanks.Thank you everyone. When I started typing this I wasn't feeling good but now I'm about to end it I do feel a bit better so thank you. |

Re: Depression is coming
Greetings. My first post. Your first of this thread said "It's sad, it really is." Is it SAD? I note you are in NJ, and my understanding from far away in the UK is that Eastern US Seaboard weather has been mostly good lately.
My SAD symptoms begin in mid August and run till mid/late April, year after year after year. They got worse year on year till I started using a SAD light. That and exercise and making sure as much as possible that I'm sitting at a window facing the sun/daylight, or am outdoors, and increasing my anti-depressants all help take the edge off it, but it still has a profound effect on my life. "It" in my case means a sense of hopelessness, sleepiness, overwhelming lethargy, carb craving. It doesn't follow that SAD accounts for any of your symptoms of a feeling of impending depression, but it might possibly be contributing. Incidentally, marketing of SAD lights here in the UK through Amazon etc can be a bit of a snare for the non scientist, because sellers tend to quote light levels at distances unrealistically close to the light source. It needs to be a daylight wavelength, and really intense. Intensity of light reduces dramatically the greater the distance of the source from the person receiving the light (hence the confusion about claimed light levels). SAD lights are generally most effective if used early in the day, and close. This all might not be relevant to you, but worth considering. Hugs, R |
