Not his receptionist. Not his mom,or his sis,or anybody else. He,him,the p doctor HISSELF called me last night wanting to try to work out a time when I think I'll be able to come and see him and get this evaluation thing going.

He wanted to explain some of the things that will happen. Like how
he'll be asking me about things and I'll be answering him and taking some tests too,and then he'll be writing things down (and then I'll be giggling,cause I always laugh like a lunatic when I'm nervous

). I could tell he was trying to make me feel comfortable.

He explained that I'll be there for a few hours while he does whatever it is they do. Today I even found a hotel nearby him that accepts pets and has big truck parking too,so at least one of my biggest problems is out of the way. I just won't mention what KIND of dog Earl is,but he will be just fine. I'll walk him good and leave the Animal Planet on TV for him.

I don't think there is anyway to prepare for this (except maybe drinkin' a couple of margaritas!) so I'm just gonna go in and try not to get mad at any questions that might hit a nerve. I'm looking at maybe the first week in October,so I have till then sweat and stew thinkin' about it.

Thanks ginnie! I thought the same thing,too. I've read a lot of posts from people who have had bad experiences with their dr so I didn't know what was going to happen. But him calmly explaining things has really made a good impression on me. Yeah...I think it is a good sign.

Awesome!!!! Wow. I wish that kind of attention to the individual could rub off on some other professionals!

If you're still in VA when ya' go, and need a pup sitter, holla! We can tend to the magaritas 'til you get back.

So where is this wonderous fellow located ??? ...you are all over the map so to speak !

this is the best news old friend ....I have been playing chase the new doc myself this summer....after diagnosis, it's a royal pain in the ...well.....finally get to someone reasonably priced next week .....the "free" pdoc at the over 60 center made me shake for 12 hours after I saw her .....a B**** if I ever met one ....so free isn't really true

It's important to trust someone you let into your head ..... here's hoping that we each found someone this time .....

got my fingers crossed, and keep us up to date with the results K?

Are you in VA? I've been running up and down the 81 for a long time now and heading over to Lynchburg and other little places out in the middle of nowhere!

We don't need no reason for me to stop and have a margarita with ya(except that I won't be driving afterwards!

Salleh....the doc is in NJ. That's why I was amazed that I found a hotel that takes dogs AND has truck parking! That is a rare find up there! So that is a good sign too!

In NJ at the hotel. Tomorrow is my appointment to see the doc. I noticed a little neighborhood bar down the block which would have been nice to visit today,but I have an awful migraine.

Migraine could be caused by the stress of thinkin' 'bout tomorrow,could be caused by driving hard yesterday to make it up here...or even by the weather,its rainy and cloudy and that sometimes causes it I've noticed.

I'm trying the hot shower method to get rid of it. Main thing is I need it to be gone by tomorrow.

Hah,truck almost died on the highway coming to the hotel! It just had its PM a week ago,too! That raised the intensity of the headache a bit for sure!

AND,I got caught up in one of NJ's wonderful circles trying to pull into here,lol!
I just kept going round and round till I could get in the right lane without runnin' anybody over!

Well,lookin' forward to this...I think.

Whoa! We've been real close to each other! But I've been driving the interstates and the beltway...just yesterday morning I came through between 6 and 7am! I was lucky for a change,only one small accident to hold me up.

I don't envy you at all! I was gonna put up a few safety tips concerning sharing the road with big trucks after reading some of the posts of people that have a hard time driving.

I would HATE to have to drive a car through all that everyday. But I bet all the way south its very beautiful!
