Forgetting about holidays and other days of observances
Perhaps the fact that I don't have much of a family other than my parents and I grew up in a religious home that doesn't celebrate holidays.. perhaps That's only a contributing factor to why I forget.
However, when people at school or in other public places remind me of holidays like Christmas or like now the anniversary of 9/11, I'm thinking... ooh, I forgot about that... Even if people are talking a little about it days before, I completely forget about it. Heck, I'd probably even forget your birthday. |

Forgetting important.dates is common. What you are experiencing is an additional.issue of having special observance dates reinforced as unimportant. I've forgotten my own birthday and once spent an entire year thinking I was a year older than I was.
