Re: Help With Add

May I ask why your doctor upped your dosage, if as you said the 72mg did wonders for you? It would seem unwise to arbitrarily keep upping the dosage once you found one that was effective for you!

Re: Help With Add

You first off, need to take your dose down. 99 is a bit high, especially if you are seeing your appetite majorly affected as well as your sleep. Both are important to daily life and if they are messed with severely it can really affect you. Try and talk with your new normal practitioner, and ask them to write you a script for 72 or lower if need be, just to test it. And then go from there.

I have been unmedicated for most of my life with ADHD. And I still have issues sleeping on occasion due to my mind racing. I can only imagine how it is with stimulants in my system of up to 99. That's crazy high for someone. I was diagnosed close to 15 years ago. And when I did take meds, they started me with 10 and the highest I went was 30.

I'm with Spunky above, why would a doc up your dose when 72 was working. Makes you wonder why this guy no longer practices, eh?

Re: Help With Add

The doctor seemed to think that upping the dosage would help more with my add symptoms since I was still unable to concentrate and idk he just jumped me into 72 mg i wish i knew before there was lower dosages then that maybe thats what i need. My problem now is I havent been to a psychitrist for 6 months because every place was booked so for the last sixth months ive been from 99 to nothing....

Re: Help With Add

ADHD can cause depression not the other way around.
Depression can have some of the symptoms of ADHD, it can´t cause it.
So depression can cause brain fatigue, loss of concentration, memory problems, lack of interest in life, irritability.

seems like you need to take a few steps back med wise to where you felt you were improving and go from there.

I have just started on concerta 18mg, so it´s low. My doc believes in low and slow. I will stay at 18mg for 15 days then review it. 99mg is an awful lot so quickly.
