4pm, ready to start the day

Sort of...

To be fair my medicine has made me rather drowsy.

But I have not had any structure today.

If I had written a simple to-do list I would have done something today. But did I? Nup.

Managed to read the newspaper though.

I don't even remember when I took my meds and when I should take the next dose. I've been procrastinating going to the bank all day, which is just down the road.

My friend is even in town tonight. But will I go out? Nuuup!

So, anyway, back to wasting this day away.

Well if you have decided that your are going to waste the day away, try not to think of the things that you should been doing. You have given yourself the day off so enjoy time wasting without the guilt.

That is great advice. All guilt will do is sap more of tomorrow's energy away. The hell with feeling bad! Guilt sucks! Useless pointless stupid emotion! I am the Anti-Guilt Cheerleader today!!! Rawr!

Re: 4pm, ready to start the day

Yeah. I kind of decided that yesterday was Saturday. Now that it's Saturday I've done at least half better than yesterday.

By 4pm I have to be waiting for a train. I'm still not sure how that's all going to work today.

Re: 4pm, ready to start the day

Oh man I do this all the time! I always look forward to my two days of from work and when they come, I feel paralyzed or something. I just don't want to do anything. Today was one of those days and I managed to do the dishes and two homework assignments. Very basic things for most people but I feel like it's a huge accomplishment. Something very pathetic about that, I know.

But, I have to remember, this is ADD, and it comes with it's positives and negatives. I'm hoping to start stim meds soon, and hoping that will help with this. Do you take any meds?

Re: 4pm, ready to start the day

Hey man, doing dishes and an assignment without meds is an accomplishment to me.

I don't even read on days when I don't take medication. I don't read books or do any creative writing.

Yes. I take Ritalin. I took a break today because I was on meds on the weekend.

Had to laugh!
My day never even got started, I'll try again tomorrow, then the next day after that, then......
Then the day comes that you say to yourself, 'I will put the burner on to accomplish 2x the things I need to do!'
'Tomorrow'
