Bad temper and no sex interest w/ Wellbutrin and Aderrall

Wellbutrin XR 300mg w/ Aderrall 15mg x3 times a day

Since I start with the Wellbutrin two months ago, I lost total interest in sex and a really bad temper. When I take the Aderrall during the day, my temper its just fine. But when the Aderrall efect its gone my temper turns owfull.

At first I was taking Aderrall XR 30mg and gave me a owfull temper, but when I took the Wellbutrin it help me a lot (in other hand, my sex interes desapear). When I change for the single realease Aderrall the bad mood desapear, but with time when Im not with the Aderrall efect I get bad temper again.

In the last week, for moments my sex interest and good moods returns, but only when I`m with Aderrall.

Its the Wellbutrin that its not good for me??? Or what ???

wellbutrin didn't work for my anxiety attacks (long history of those before adhd diagnosis) at all, but like you, i am on adderall xr...which works wonderfully for me. i switched to lexapro for the anxiety attacks and after about a month of low libido, which i was told was a possibility, everything in that dept went back to normal.

it may be you need to titrate the dose of wellbutrin, but i can only tell you that the combo of lexapro 10mgs and adderall xr works wonderfully for me. good luck!

Sounds to me like Wellbutrin might not be doing good for you right now. I would definitely talk to your doc about getting off it, at least on a temporary basis so you can compare.

I recently went off Wellbutrin. It did some good things for me like...helped my depression, and I was calmer and did't chem my nails for the first time in 20 years!!! but the side effcts were not worth it (male issues, and constapation - I needed laxitive to go!!!!! eek) So since off I ohysically am better and for the moment exhibitning some mental toughness (easier said than done). One importnat note is that two weeks before I decided to go off Wellbutrin I became an emotional basket case. Was crying at everything..."I hate myslef" attitude.. People were worried I ws going to hurt myslef...beware of those symptoms if that is not normally you then you shoudl seriously contemplate discontinuing the drug. I quit cold turkey (not always reccomended) and the benefit of feelign physically better (almost immediatly) got me through. I am at the point wheer I really contemplating the effectiveness of all these drugs plus the long term effects are an unknown to the pharmaceutical companies! (except for maybe ridalin)

I just started taking wellbutrin today. My doctor switched me from lexapro to wellbutrin because lexapro completely destroyed my sex drive and really wasn't helping. He said that, unlike other anti-depressants, sexual side effects are not common with wellbutrin. After reading these posts, I'm starting to worry that I might have the same problems on wellbutrin as I did on lexapro.
