Wellbutrin Side Effects

I have been taking Wellbutrin for 3 months and started with the XL 300 mg. I did not notice any side effects until towards the end of the first prescription. The side effects were a slight hot flash one afternoon and then that night intermittent trembles on and off around 2:00 am. I also had a slight cold sweat during this time. I finally awoke around 5:30 am very anxious which the symptoms wore off with in the hour.

So I contacted my doctor and she switched me to the XL 150 mg and the side effects went away after a day or two. Last night I experienced the same symptoms but not as severe. I am also towards the end of the first prescription of the XL 150.

I also take Focalin 2.5 mg everyday and Clonopin .5 mg at night.

Anyone experienced these side effects from the Wellbutrin?

I didn't experience those particular side effects, but they don't sound too unusual. What is a bit unusual is that you didn't experience them until four weeks into the prescription. Probably the best thing for you to do, if the Wellbutrin is working well, is to continue with the 150 mg for a couple months, then try to increase to 300 again if desired. The longer you take the med, the more your brain will grow accustomed to it, and the lower the chance of side effects.

After reading a lot of different threads about the side effects I believe what I am experiencing is normal. The only thing I can figure for the delay is the drug may just now hitting it's peak after 4 weeks. Hopefully the side effects will go away with in a couple of days. As we all know these drugs effect everyone different.
