Focalin and WB

I have been taking Focalin 5 mg 3 times a day for the last sevral years. I switched between Adderall and Focalin for the last 5 years. Both drugs have worked wonders on my ADD. Due to reason I still can't understand I hit rock bottom regarding depression, which I have never had before. So it was suggested that I stop or slowly get off the Focalin and continue with the WB, which I am only taking 2.5 mg a day of the Focalin. I take the 150mg XL once a day and it seems to have helped the depression, but I do have peaks and valleys of mild depression. My question is do you think that I have been too aggressive with the Focalin and it could be causing these peaks and valleys of depression. Has anyone had the same experiences related to stimulants and getting off of them?

Why do you think that the Focalin is causing - or is related to - the depression? Do these peaks and valleys you are talking about occur during the course of the day, or are they longer in cycle? (are they related to the "up" and "down" of the Focalin?)
I wouldn't think that you have been too "agressive" witht he Focalin - 5mg tid isn't a large amount of Focalin.
You shouldn't have any trouble getting off of the Focalin - not at the dosage you are taking - there won't be any physical withdrawl and any psychological withdrawl should be minimal as well.

Have you considered a different delivery mechanism such as Concerta, Metadate CD, or Methylin ER, etc.?
