Unhappy Hi there...

Hello everybody! I am new to this forum and not so new to the world of ADHD. I have always felt different than my NT peers since my earliest memory. I received my diagnosis in the spring of this year and I am trying to put my world back together. I am feeling stuck and hopeless. Uninspired and craving some sort of stability in my life.

I am in my twenties and a student studying away from home with very few friends and far too many acquaintances. I hope to make some new acquaintances on this board and share my struggles and successes living with this condition.

Re: Hi there...

Great to have you here! I got diagnosed over the summer and started taking medication 2 weeks ago. So far its made a real difference and all of the sudden I can get work done! I can defenitely relate to you since last year was my freshman year in college and it wasn't fun with undiagnosed ADD.

Life will get better and things usually just tend to work out for the good.

Hi Stuck:

You are lucky, you got diagnosed early in life. You will have time to develop methods to build a good life for yourself.

You have come to a good place to find information and friends.

Please explore the forum to find lots of useful information to help you.

Good luck.

Re: Hi there...

I had some humans diagnose me ADD at a time known as spring.

I like the wellbutrin substance they prescribed to me, but alas, I got laid of by the Earthlings yet again.
I would like to try some stimulants to see if my confusion about work duties and strange instruction that seemed alien to me somewhat dissipates.

The wellbutrin helps to eliminate couch lock and keeps depression away amongst other things, but I need to add something I think.

I hate looking for a job
