Question How do you query a string/phrase? As you would use quotes ("") in search engine

I am putting phrases (two or more words appearing consecutively) in double (no results when there should be) and single (changes to an OR-query) quotations and the search is not performing as I would logically expect. I have searched the Q&A forum back about 5 years and did not see any thread titles related to this.

Example: Searching "wake up" in the Sleeping forum ends up with too few (zero) results, while searching 'wake up' or just wake up (without quotes) both result in too many results. Since this is such a ubiquitous searching use case, I'm assuming that there is a way to do it.

Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, we dont have that functionality.

Go to google and enter:

site:www.addforums.com "wake up"
