Problem w/ stimulant medication

I can't find any information on this on the internet so I'd appreciate some feedback if other have the problem.

I was dx w/ ADD about 1.5 years ago. Tried Stattera- helped a little but just made me depressed. So I had to take anti-depressants for awhile. Eventually, it as time for Concerta. Apparently, I went up way too quickly and now I'm dealing w/ the resultant anxiety. I know it will go away over time but it's not enjoyable. Just curious if this has happened to others and/or wondering how long it takes to calm down.

I've wondered if stimulants aren't right for me. However, I felt great for a few days when I was taking the Concerta. Not high- just like a complete person and functional. So I'd love to get back to it when the time is right.

Sounds to me you need to have the dose adjusted. I would talk to your doctor about it. There is a really good section here all about medication. I tried Concerta but it wasn't the one for me and ended up switching to Adderall...but I know Concerta works well for many ADDers. It's nice to find that 'functional person' on meds...you never want to go back to the fog! Scroll down to the section where all the meds are listed and click on 'Concerta'. Here you will find many people on Concerta and what their experiences are with it. Good Luck!

Nairb75, I think you might get more help if you posted this in the medication forums. I'm not a Dr, so can't tell you what to do, but I think kid @ heart has the right idea. Dose needs adjusting.
