Wellbutrin doesn't seem to be working yet

Ok now granted I've only been taking it for about a week and ahalf. I have tourettes syndrome, so my choices are limited. The doc has me taking 100mg of wellbutrin SR, now I know I shouldn't(without consulting the doc) but I took 2 that day. I had a job interview the other, I wanted to be able to pay attention to what they were saying to me, and while it didn't seem to help my concentration when I got home I really felt an urge to get stuff done. Maybe it was just in my head. I've gathered that the effects do take time, so I'm trying to be be patient.

You are on a fairly low dose of Wellbutrin, probably due to the tourettes, so I'm not surprised that you don't feel much difference. Wellbutrin works fairly quickly for an anti-depressant - a couple of weeks or a bit more(?)

he upped the dose to 150mg which is still pretty low, I was thinking of doubling it.. 150 twice a day... perhaps try a stimulant(I know it will my tics worse) in a small dose, and see if the small dose would benefit over the extra tics. Particurly just when I need to pay more attention to other times(taking classes, business meetings, interviews). I'm seeing him next monday I think.
