Question Anyone else had this?

One of the reasons I am on concerta is forgetting simple things. I have only been taking it for about a week now, but there are things I wouldn't normally forget that I have forgotten, ie: leaving my backpack in the hallway on my way to class.

Has anyone else linked this to concerta? Or is it just me/ extra energy making me too hyped to forget things?

Overall my reaction to Concerta has been good. I was on 18 the first month and this month I have moved up to 27.
My ability to stay on task is a lot better, however I also find myself forgetting things that I would not normally forget. My work performance has actually suffered a bit since I started taking meds. But lets put this in perspective. I spent 29 years living with untreated ADD and I have thrown a drug into my works that significantly impacts my biology. I have 29 years of strategies for dealing with ADD in the raw. I think its a matter of habits. I would compulsively check my pockets and wallet etc... for things that were critical because I would become unsure if I really had whatever it was I needed. We are used to checking on things that are important 15,000 times because we know how we lose things. We know that we can completly forget something that is important so we overcorrect by overfocusing on things that are important. So now that your anxiety has diminished to some extent I am more lax about things. Im not walking around all day thinking "My keys, my keys, my keys, I am SOOOO screwed if I lose my keys. Dont forget my keys my keys my keys." Non-ADD people forget things too. Maybe being ABLE to focus dosent mean you have learned HOW to pick what to focus on and when. In other words: for me I can stay on task now, but I find that I make really poor choices about WHAT to focus on. I relied on my ADD to naturally shift me back into work as I cycled through the open windows on my desktop. Now it is more difficult for me to get derailed back into working. So for me now I have to teach myself WHAT to use my ability to focus on.
