I had a little euphoria lasting one day, some moderate insomnia, and appetite suppression. Basically, it acted like a super stimulant to me. I was on the XL, and when we tried to up from 150 to 300 mg, I experienced irritability, 3 days of complete insomnia, slowed movements, and I had a panic attack. :P Needless to say, after those experiences, we backed down to 150 again. All in all, it was a good med for me.

I was on Well. and dexadrine and had that anger problem. My Dr. didn't say anything to me about it. I learned about anger as a side effect here and weight gain !

I told my Dr. about how I was feeling and what I learned and he agreed that some people do have these side effects. Because I'm limited to what I can take I decided to go off all meds.

That's correct, I am not on it anymore. It has nothing to do with the med or its side effects. My original doc had prescribed Wellbutrin and Strattera because my cardiac condition was a little unclear, and they just happened to work well. When I had my physical and was declared healthy, he suggested maybe I'd benefit more from stimulants. So, I've switched to concerta, with good effect.

I don't have an answer to your question, just a comment...isn't it sad how meds just stop working after awhile? Especially antidepressants and meds of that type. And weaning off them is so dangerous. I went through HELL trying to get off Paxil and Effexor after they stopped working. Had to quit work for 3 months to go through the withdrawals. I wish someone could invent a pill to use to make meds continue to work in your body without building up a tolerance...wishful thinking though. Good luck with the Adderall though!

For me , wellbutrin causes insomnia , weight loss and a mildy increased lebido.

none of the effects are particularly bad.

Wow thats awful you had to quit work for 3 months... i hope i never have to experience that.

As for the meds and when they stop working ... it is sad that we are at the mercy of these medications. Ya need em but eventually our bodies become immune and the doseages have to be increased till the point where we are at the will of these power drugs and they arent working anymore... Then the awful withdrawales one must go threw ... a pill NeedS to be created to aliveate the painnnnn ... better yet a pill which allows our body to never become immune to it....
ahhh see that and we would have to take moree pills pills pills and more pills to "fix" us.

Thanks for wishing me luck with the adderall , i have used it before though, im just starting again.

Actually, better yet, instead of another pill, a CURE needs to be found...but that will never happen...governemnt won't let that happen because the medical industry is making too much money from selling us these pills...

its micheal moore .. he did those "controverial" films ..Fahrenheit 9/11, bowling for columbine, and i believe that one on mcdonalds ....

apperantly he is doing one on the pharmacetucial industry ... someone i know was saying how there company sent emails to all the employees warning them of this guy and told them not to say anything ... so i wonder how this movie will turn out ... hes suppose to be covering the scandels behind the pharmacetucial industry will money, meds etc...

this should be intersting!!
