Ephedrine & Adderall

Just wanted to know if there were any (side) effects of using ephedrine & adderall together. I need the ephedrine for energy and the adderall for concentration. All feedback appreciated!

I've never tried Adderall, but I've tried Ephedrine.

I think you should talk to a doctor or a pharmacist. There are probably people here who could give you word-of-mouth accounts, but few here are qualified to tell you for sure what drugs are safe together.

Aren't they both stimulants?

Are you talking about actual Ephedrine or the herbal equivalent? (Ephedra / Ma Huang).

I've never used actual Ephedrine, but the herbal stuff gives me tons of energy. I occasionally use it instead of an evening dose of Adderall since it doesn't last as long.

As for energy if you get energy from Ephedrine you should also get plenty of energy from Adderall as they are both stimulants.

Maybe talk to you doctor about increasing your Adderall dose vs self-medicating with Ephedrine. Or your doctor might just prescribe Ephedrine, either way it will be cheaper that way if you have insurance.

Warnings about ephedrine are out all over. Its bad for you!!! It can cause damage to your heart etc. They are now even taking it out of many diet products because of how dangerous it is. Taking it alone is bad enough, but you should definantly NOT be taking it with another stimulant!! That increases risks of bad side effects.

Ephedrine is not dangerous. It's only dangerous when it's in a diet pill and people think that if they take 10 times the recommended dose they'll lost weight 10 times quicker.

Its not only dangerous as a diet pill. Its dangerous in many other forms too. Is there a specific product that is pure without any other ingrediants?? At the school it was one of the drugs of choice for a while and it made A LOT of people sick, true they were taking high doses I guess. Do you happen to know what the "safe" dose of it is?? I think most people who are taking ephedrine products take more than is safe to take.

If kids are trying to get high I doubt they care what the suggested dose is, they probably down as many as they can swallow.

1 glass of red wine is good for you, 20 could kill you.

The stuff I use occasionally (Twin labs Diet fuel (used to be Ripped Fuel)) has 20mg of Ephedra alkaloids in a 3 capsule dose. The bottle says to take 3 capsules 2-3 times / day so 40-60mg.

I find that taking just one capsule (~6.6mg)gives me quite an energy boost. I don't take more than I need.

I'm sure if I popped 20 of my Adderalls I'd be in a dangerous situation too.

Unfortunately you can't protect people from a lack of common sense. Especially when weight-loss or getting high is the goal.

Ya thats true. Most of the stuff that they took contained other ingrediants. It was that cold and flu med that people use to make meth with if they cant get the pure ingrediants.

I take adderall twice a day. 30 mg in the moring and 20 mid to late afternoon. I have also started drinking the energy type drinks from Stacker 2 (the Y2J stigers) also twice a day. The combination seems to work well and I am noting that I alsosleep a little better.
