Hi From Hampshire, UK

Good morning and hello everyone,

I stumbled across this group when I googled an ADHD question after looking at my new ADHD / depression Twitter account. As a single man yet who really benefits from interaction, it's a pleasure to find it - so please say hi or even a short message if you even feel half inclined. It'll be really appreciated. Thanks.

I've just created a twitter account to express when I am feeling low without my family seeing because they view it more seriously than it is. I was diagnosed just 3 years ago and I'm increasingly wanting to focus on improving life, deal with dips when they come along better and prevent some of them because I'll establish better routines and behaviours.

Just FYI - as on first site many hear seem to be in the US - I'm not sure if the convention is the same with you as it is here but if diagnosed with ADD or with the H element you are given the same "label" of ADHD, so I use ADHD.
- Is it better for me to use ADD since this group is an ADD group? Will using ADHD in some posts confuse people?

Look forward to chatting to folks, learning and contributing.

Cheers,

Craig

Re: Hi From Hampshire, UK

Hello and welcome. Most of us use adhd I think irrespective ofthe sub type diagnosis. The forum is for everyone. I guess when it started add was more commonly in use but i think most people now refer to the disorder as adhd.

Just use what you prefer. If anyone gets confused I guess they'll ask.
