Hi everyone

Hi,
I am Dave. I had mild ADHD in my childhood. I got over from it with the help of my parents and therapists. But, now, I suffer from mild depression. I hope I can get some kind of relief from here. I wonder if others who struggled with ADHD face depression in the later stages of life.

Re: Hi everyone

I have both, adhd and depression though I was only duagnosed swith adhd a few years ago. In my case treating adhd really improved the depression as well.

And yes, depression is very often co morbid with adhd.

Re: Hi everyone

Yes. Very much so, from my experiences.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Re: Hi everyone

As far as I know you cant really "get over" the adhd because there is no cure and its chronic. You can learn coping skills and manage it really well though like you have done. How do you know for sure that its not an issue? Depression is a symptom of the adhd as well as emotional regulation issues.
